    Re: Holiday plans!

Boy, what a life. Thanksgiving in London and Christmas in Italy. Can we trade for awhile? You would get to stay in a lovely 3 bedroom ranch in Michigan, oh yeah, and with three kids to take care of. Minivan provided. LOL

So I omitted the chicken that stuffing recipe calls for and put a second pound of spicy bulk breakfast sausage instead. It was awesome. It's hard to believe it's "diet food."
No stats. Not weighing anymore ever. Will post "before and after" pictures when I want to. The end.

        Re: Holiday plans!

The holidays are realllly easy, technically, to stay on, especially with all the meats available!

Why spend New Year's Eve in depression and schnorking down the crackerdoodles just because of a lack of self-control that began sometime around now?

There's just no reason to stop doing our best! Why not celebrate New Year's Eve by hitting a goal, rather than using New Year's Eve as the obligatory guilt-night for setting goals based only on remorse?

To get through these holidays is such a huge step and ensures a necessaru success for a lifetime of healthful living.

Holidays are about having great things to look back on, and not the food.

            Re: Holiday plans!

Awesome ideas! I plan to bring some legal foods to Grandma's house...which could be a good thing because Grandpa is diabetic and everyone seems to ingore it (including him).

My plan on how to not eat too much? Easy. Bring my two little boys with and spend my time making them behave during dinner...how will I have a chance to put ANYTHING in my mouth???

              Re: Holiday plans!

My family and I are having Thanksgiving dinner on Friday.

My son asked my mom to make Lasagna. So I'll be making turkey and fixin's on Thursday. The menu includes:

              Turkey
              Salad
              Mock mashed potatoes
              Spagetti Squash
              Revolutionary Rolls
              Pumpkin Cheesecake

Now I can add this "stuffing"!!! BTW, instead of chicken, can I use turkey? This will certainly round out my meal.

No one in my family knows I'm doing Atkins except my mother. And I'm not telling them either. They'll never know they're eating low carb -- unless they eat the lasagna!

Leftovers? I hope there is going to be alot! I'm taking it all home for myself!

For Christmas I'll have to dream up some other goodies to fit my WOE.

Yes, turkey comes out just as well. Enjoy!
