  • Blood Work Results... :)

    Hi all!

I received my blood work results today from my recent physical...and even though I've never had issues with it, I wanted to share my results after 2+ years of Atkins....

Total Cholesterol 146 (<200 desirable for adult)
    Triglycerides 58 (<150 normal)
    HDL 55 (<40 low - > 100 high)
    LDL 79 (<100 is Optimal)
    Chol/HDLC ratio 2.7 (<3.7 below average risk)

I'm happy! Feel free to share with any and all naysayers!

I just ask them if being 150 lbs overweight won't kill me. One of them is proven to kill people, one of them just has people saying it'll kill you. Options options.

Seriously, this is my favorite kind of post; where we can show the naysayers just how healthy this WOE really is.

Congratulations, Lady! May you live to be 120!!

But I don't *wanna* be old and wrinkly.

Well, remember that by avoiding sugars and refined carbs you're slowing down the aging process all over, not just in your cardiovascular system. So, wrinkling should be a slower process, as well (just stay out of the sun!).

Or, you could go back to eating cakes, pies, ice cream, candy, etc., and really increase your chances of dying while you're still young and unwrinkled!

                          I'd say it's your choice.

If I get really fat again then I can't wear the outfit I have planned for my funeral. So I'm thinking no carbs and wrinkles it is.

Yep... I go with slim and wrinkly (well they're not really that bad) any day! I've grown quite fond of the few wrinkles weight loss gave me... I used to be moon faced!
