okay, I started 2 weeks ago, I had a bad weekend because of a wedding I went to so that was a bit of a set back. I weighed myself yesterday and had only lost 2 lbs, I am okay with that....but I feel like I have lost inches because my pants are really loose. Is is possible to lose inches and not weight???

Yeah It Happened To Me Especially As I Was Exercising Alot At The Beginning, I Lost 2 Inches In Two Weeks But Only 3 Pounds.

If you gain muscle to replace your fat, the muscle, though it weighs the same, is more dense and takes up less room. Your weight could even stay the same from week to week, but you could be losing fat and replacing it with muscle. Definately. It is really important to measure if you hit a stall because many times you are losing inches.Michele SW250/CW 226/GW150 F, 38, 5'6"

scales only measure the force of gravity on your total mass. on Atkins we are constantly morphing our body mass shedding fat mass adding lean muslce mass and fluids are in a constant state of flux. if you shed 3 pounds of fat but add 1 and 1/2 pounds of muscle and fluid the scale will say you didn't lose anything but since our goals are less fat you did great.
so measure yourself with your clothes and tape measure and watch the inches of fat being burned off as you work your Atkins.by the book atkinseer

This happened to me this week...

Certainly... It is amazing how much space the body's fat cells can deplete as you are burning them for fuel. The water may still retain for a bit as the body thinks it needs it, but even that will leave soon. Hence this is the whoosh effect.Kent - 35-M-6'4"
