I have been wanting a hot dog so bad! I cant seem to find any without added sugar. The cheapest brand at walmart is even packed with them.

    What brands are yall using?

Hebrew National (I think is the name) hot dogs. They are kosher and they rock!

Gonna have chili cheese dogs YAY! making my own chili with tiny bit of tomato sauce and ground beef and chili seasoning and using melted american cheese and no bun. Think Ill just chop the weinies up and make a "bowl" of it. Mmmm, chili cheese dog bowls!

That sounds AWESOME, mother! I love chili, and yours sounds really good! Just don't buy the low-fat HN hotdogs. Not only are they butt-nasty, but they are higher-carb.

        I found mine at Super-Walmart.

I buy Hebrew National too. They're the only hot dogs that don't nauseate me.

I buy Hebrew National also in fact we had them night before last with some fried cabbage. Yummy stuff. I found some at Kroger a few weeks back in the fancy cheese section. They were skinless so it said and had 0 carbs. Well for skinless the outside was tough I could barely bite thru them. So the next time I bought them back to Hebrew National.

I like Hebrew National, but Sabrett's are my favorite. I haven't bought any since I've been on Atkins. Does anyone know if Sabrett's are safe?

I'll add yet another vote for the Hebrew National franks. I used to like Nathan's, as well, but haven't looked at their carb count/ingredients in a while.

Never heard of Sabrett's, but I'll watch out for them.

I normally eat Beef Plumpers, which admittedly have a bit of corn syrup in them, but they have much less most other brands. On the grill though is the only way to eat them.

I used to like Hebrew Nationals, but they are way salty. Nathans beats it hands down in my book. 1 net carb per dog. Grilled and a bit charred is my preference! Lots of mustard and a little LC ketchup, maybe a dash of s/f relish! YUM!

I'm in Michigan and there is a company here called Kogels that makes the best hot dogs. We have been known to smuggle them into California on flights to visit relatives. The last time I visited my Aunt in California I brought her a shipment. I was there for a cousin's wedding. When the minister found out we had Kogel meats he asked if he could have some of her stash. LOL He was originally from Michigan and missed the hot dogs so much he came over to their house the next day for hot dogs.

I LOVE KOGELS! I miss them sooooooooooo much! I moved from Michigan a year ago, and haven't had a decent dog since. All they have out here are these horrid magenta things called Rocky Mountain hot dogs.

<reminiscing> ahhh those delicious hot dogs...Aren't Kogels made in Saginaw? Maybe I'm thinking of Made-Rite chips...

Wow....you two make Kogels sound delish. Wonder if I can order them in bulk on the internet? Doubt if you'll be able to smuggle them through the airport anymore...we'll probably read about you being some type of terrorist or something.

Hmm, maybe we could arrange some sort of exchange. Interested in Chesapeake Bay crabs, perhaps? Or, I'll be visiting my folks soon, and could ship you some genuine North Carolina barbecue (if you've never had it, you just can't imagine what you're missing -- and, if you leave off the "side" sauce, it's even low in carbs!).

Whatever, those hot dogs must be wonderful!
