    What are/were yours?

    Mine include:

    1. Being able to wrap a normal sized bath towel around myself.
    2. Being able to sit in a chair and have extra room on the seat.
    3. Walking 2 flights of stairs with a heavy-ish briefcase and not being winded.
    4. Having my rings so loose that I had to have them re-sized.
    5. Having more room between the steering wheel and my stomach.
    6. Shovelling snow off my driveway and walkways and still having enough energy to do my neighbor's drive and walk ways.
    7. Not being the fattest person in the room.

    1. Fitting in a booth
    2. Fitting in the normal restroom stall
    3. Being able to shower without touching any of the walls or the curtain/door
    4. My doctor taking me off of all the meds I was taking when really overweight.
    5. Having to force myself to eat because I'm not hungry.
    6. Feeling weird because I didn't exercise that day.

Virtually all of your reasons except the medications one!!

      Plus
Finding when I pull out the plug that the bathwater all drains away - no 'butt-dam' holding half the water back behind me!!
Being able not only to cross my legs when seated but being able to tuck one foot behind the other calf too!!
In an aeroplane being able to drop the table down and not feel it resting on my tummy!
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

Re: Weight loss and Renewed Health Milestones

One of my happiest days was the first time I realized that I could bend down and tie my shoes. Before then, I had to sit and then bring one foot up over the other knee (or as close to it as possible).

Another was when I was finally able to walk up two flights of escalators in the subway station on the way to work, and still be able to breathe, afterwards. I actually did it, the first time, without even thinking about it -- it just happened (I must have felt especially energetic that morning) and when I realized what I had done, I was amazed.

A year ago I went swimming at the beach (I love the beach, and I love swimming) for the first time in about 12 years. I was in heaven.

Not having to pay extra for my shirts because they were no longer XXL.

One day, though -- just once -- I want to go dancing again. I want to go out on the dance floor and not feel like I look like a beached whale floundering about trying to get back into the water. (I know, I'm a bit old for that, but, at least, just once!)

I'm repeating someone else's, here, but I, too, would like to be able to wrap a regular size bath towel around my waist while I shave after my shower.

I'll bet your migraines do disappear. Mine certainly did, and I've heard many other migraine sufferers say the same. I've always said that that "side benefit," alone is worth following the WOE.

I think you're absolutely lovely, and that doesn't translate to anything except just that. You were blessed with beautiful features, so don't reject all compliments out-of-hand. You deserve them, so accept them, as such!

The puff... always the puff... I used to get ultra puffed with anything more than moderate moving. No more!!!!

Lots more reasons... most of which have already been mentioned.

My biggest one was actually being able to walk into RW & Co. and know I could actually fit into the clothes they sell. Before I would always look at the mannequins in the display window outside and wish I could fit into those very trendy clothes. Now, not only can I fit into them, I fit into the smallest sizes they offer!
