In seeing this word today, i automatically applied my own definition of what "this time around lol" being successful in this lifestyle is and means to me. i no longer see losing the weight as being "successful" Its hard to explain. To me, its now keeping iit off once i do lose it. I have done Atkins before and had what i deemed GREAT SUCCESS!! I lost 50 lbs in 2 months. However, now back on plan with DOUBLE + that amount to lose, in hindsight, i wasn't successful at all. I achieved a goal but i didn't learn anything in how to be successful and in fact, when i first did this way of life, it became one of those yo-yo diets because i didn't take time to learn how Dr. A tried to tell us to be successful wiith this plan and it far encompasses more time than the 2 months it took me to initially lose the weight.
So this brought a question to mind, what does everyone see as being successful in doing Atkins. For me some of them are:
1) lose the weight AND KEEPING IT OFF!!! lol
2) to LEARN from it, my past, and to learn while losing the weight.
3) 10 years from now to still utilize what i am taught about this plan in keeping my weight off.
4) To feel good because following the plan correctly makes me feel good
What do you see as being successful, could be day to day, week to week, now, when you reach or while on maintenance. When do you feel you are being successfull? Hope this makes sense.
