Can anyone give me the best way to take a picture of yourself. I want to start comparing body and face shots- face shots I can do but I don't feel comfortable with someone else taking my body shot yet- keep in mind it can't be anything to technical. Thanks in advance for your help.

Taking a picture in a mirror would be pretty easy.

Thanks for answering so quick- I thought about that but wasn't sure if they came out good- i've seen some that have and some that haven't- didn't know if there was a trick to it.

Hmm, I'm not sure what any good tricks would be. Probably just make sure the natural lighting is good, clean the mirror, and don't use a flash.

I've never done it myself, but mirror-pics are very popular for MySpace pictures - I've seen some pretty good ones.

My camera has a self timer on it. Check to see if yours does.

I was going to mention timers too, most digital cameras have them i think, you could put the camera on a table or dresser.

also do you have a webcam? you can take still pics with them as well.

              Re: taking pictures

I have done both self-timed pics and mirror pics. It is seriously tricky doing the self-timer because you can't get it just right and usually you have to take multiple shots to get it right. Honestly, if you just want to do head shots, hold the camera out and shoot.
