I probably won't bring them anyway, I think the rest of the stuff is plenty with the tuna. I can have cheese for breakfast (and maybe eggs in the hotel if they're not too expensive), tuna for lunch with a salad from somewhere, and then pay for dinner.
If that is the case, Atkins bars would probably be best. Or the shakes are a better idea they have no sugar alchohols. Though I find usually a shake doesn't fill me enough..something in my brain can't accept that a drink is a meal . Either way i'd definately try to avoid the sugar of the other bars.

The store in the hotel may even sell atkins bars in a pinch..they sell them pretty much everywhere here now.

Edited to add: Actually thinking about it, you'd probably be better off eating higher rung foods than eating any of the bars. If you had to you could have plain yogurt with berries, melon, etc. Those are a better choice than the bars.

Oooh, i didn't think about yogurt and berries, I bet they'll have that option for breakfast in the hotel. It'll be cheaper than eggs and bacon I bet!

If you're staying in a nice hotel, there are some good choices available. DO ask if the scrambled eggs are mixed with pancake batter or milk. It makes a difference. Watch sausage, but go for bacon. If there's a cook there who's willing to make scrambled eggs, ask for them. You won't regret it! And if there are berries, woohoo!

Even if a fridge isn't a standard amenity in the room, call the hotel and ask them if they can get you one. I recently stayed at a hotel where those were not standard amenities...on my last day there, I saw maintenance taking a small frige and microwave to someone's room. Meaning, they had them for guests, but only on request, so be sure to ask. Worst they can say is no, but you'll know ahead of time.

Yeah, but the fridge they gave froze everything, Joy. Be sure to check the temp on the fridge, knicknack!

I highly recommend Laughing Cow cheese cubes (they also have wedges, but I like the cubes). Come in different flavors and and 5 cubes (or maybe it's 10?) only have a few carbs. And, the don't have to be refridgerated. They are very creamy and satisfying.

Beware of yogurt at breakfast. I'd be very surprised if it's full fat, plain yogurt they are serving at the hotel, which is what we're allowed to have.

You could also buy and bring a few packs of sugar-free jello. Good luck, and have fun!

D'oh! I forgot the mayo and cream cheese packs, and the laughing cow idea is awesome too! I don't think they had laughing cow at the store I was at anyway, I've never seen it there. Oh well, warm string cheese will have to do!

thanks for all the tips everyone! Hopefully I'll be able to make it through without being too hungry or too overdrawn on my bank account. :P
