I know someone posted an address here, at some time in the past, for a supplier of liquid Splenda, but I can't seem to find it. Could anyone help?

Re: Liquid Splenda
Chris if you are unable to get any, and know anyone that travels to canada you can get liquid sodium cyclamates (sugar twin) here. I've always used them and they've never caused me any stalling issues.Jen, 39, F

Re: Liquid Splenda
We have the brand, Sugar Twin, here, but it's made with sodium saccharin, not cylammate. I remember when they took the cyclamates off the market in the U.S. I was crushed, because, at the time, the only other non-nutritive sweetner available was saccharin -- which I despise.Originally posted by sadie147Chris if you are unable to get any, and know anyone that travels to canada you can get liquid sodium cyclamates (sugar twin) here. Re: Liquid Splenda
Liquid Splenda is not available in UK.
Liquid Hermesetas is, from independent chemists by special order in a few days.
It is saccharin based and Atkins legal.Atkins didn't say 'Calories don't count',
he said, 'Don't count calories.'

Re: Liquid Splenda
The tried, later, to ban saccharin for the same reason; but, there was such an uproar they didn't do. Just wish it had been saccharin that had been banned first, and then the uproar could have happend with the cylamates.Originally posted by cleochatraCyclamates is banned in the US (my dad was a major fan of it in the 80's after living in Germany and low-carbing).
From what I read, it was all rediculous. They were giving the lab rats an amount of cylamates that would have been equal to hundreds of cans of soda per day, and then discovered that some of them developed cancers. Well, duh!-Chris

Re: Liquid Splenda
Yes it is, and saccharine is banned in Canada (thankfully cause that stuff is horrid!). Our Gov't health agencies apparently didn't agree on the safety of those twoOriginally posted by cleochatraCyclamates is banned in the US (my dad was a major fan of it in the 80's after living in Germany and low-carbing).
. I've used sugar twin for years without issue, I know Heidi also brings it back from Canada when she visits. I think if you are able to get it (the liquid) it's a good substitue for splenda. I find it not as sweet, it's all i use in my coffee and for baking.

Same in the Philippines. There was some furor about a decade ago and for a time some bread at the supermarket was being touted as cyclamate free.Originally posted by cleochatraCyclamates is banned in the US (my dad was a major fan of it in the 80's after living in Germany and low-carbing).Robbie T., 240/180/160. 41yr Male, Height 5'9"

I checked the studies as well Chris and found the same. You'd pretty much need to be eating pounds of the stuff.Originally posted by ChrisThe tried, later, to ban saccharin for the same reason; but, there was such an uproar they didn't do. One thing that is interesting is on the side of the sugar twin boxes here it says 'only to be taken under the advice of a physician'. I guess they allowed it to be legal as long as it has a warning.
I personally don't know anyone who's dr has prescribed them sugartwin
.
It's also not used in foods here from what I'm aware, Ace-k and aspartame are the usual ones.Jen, 39, F
