    Fast Food Nation .. The Movie .. Opens Nov 17

    For those of you who have read this awesome book, the film opens today! Here's a link that provides a clip! I am definitely gonna see this one!

    Since I read the book a year ago, I haven't gone anywhere near fast food and, coincidentally, have never felt better!

    Ooh tt, I loved this book--so graphic and disgusting! I can't wait to see the movie...

      Yes, I've seen Super Size Me .. ugh .. haven't darkened the door of a McDonalds since .. (except to go pee!)

      DH and DD and I will be seeing this movie tomorrow. I am hoping once DD sees it, she'll QUIT eating that garbage once and for all!

        Now I'm curious to read the book and see the film. Super Size Me whet my appetite for more..... quite an eye opener

          Super-Size Me scared me enough, but then I read Fast Food Nation . . . yipes! As much as I love my In-N-Out Burgers, I definitely stay away from Mickey D's and Burger King. Super Yikes!

            Super Size Me was so nasty. I haven't read fast food nation, but now that there is a movie coming out, sounds like a good thing to go see. hopefully its showing somewhere around me...small town, hard to get those kind of films.

              Saw the movie today and was disappointed. I loved the book .. but the movie was pathetic .. don't waste your money!

                Thanks for the update Betty. The first time I read Fast Food Nation, it scared me into being a vegetarian. That was in highschool. When I met hubby I started eating meat again. LOL

                  Miss Phode, the book had a similar effect on me--I didn't eat red meat for about a year after reading it...ewwwww. But now, apparently all is forgotten, since I eat red meat a few times a week...but I still DO NOT eat "mystery meat" at restaurants/cafeterias/eateries. Very rarely do I order ground beef anywhere--I like to buy it from a small local meatmarket and cook it myself.

                    If the book/movie has a discussion on red meat or meats in general, I 'd rather not read or watch it. haha. I am seriously a big red meat eater and my iron malabsorption actually requires me to consume red meat regularly. I'd literally die without it. lol. In some cases, ignorance is bliss. I eat organic anyway. I choose not to watch this movie. Supersize me was awesome though. I've never been able to eat fast food because I am allergic to some additive they use but it was definately an eye-opener. I can't eat at restaurants due to my allergy so they can't get me with their mystery meats.

                        ^^I am 120 now. and I feel healthy. My face isn't sunken in anymore. Now I just need to build some arms, hips, ***, etc. haha. 5 more pounds and I'll call it my maintenance weight! 125 at 5'8ish is best for my bone structure. I have tiny bones. Anyway, thanks for the support. I have been grain free, starch free, sugar free, and simple carb free for almost 2 weeks. WHUT! lol. I've also met a really awesome guy. Sshhh. haha.
