Is there something you want to do once you reach goal weight (or close to it) that you've never been able to do before? Skydiving? Bungee Jumping? Wearing a Bikini? Running a Marathon?
What is your goal activity, and why do you want to do it?
I want to be close to goal by July--my goal activity is going hiking in the mountains...for my birthday, my boyfriend promised me a trip to Glacier National park--and a hike up to Sperry Chalet, a beautiful stone chalet in the wilderness that has spectacular views. It's an 8 mile hike one way, through the mountains, steadily inclining, to a breathtaking place. We're going to hike up, spend the night there, make our own meals, and hike back down. I've heard it's pretty strenuous, and I would not have been able to do it this past summer, and I'm certainly not ready now. But that birthday hike in the mountains is really one thing that keeps me motivated to exercise on days where I don't feel so energetic.
