  • Anyone else use a podemeter for walking? If so, do they work well for you?

The first podemeter I had was rather sensitive and worked great, but after the batteries wore out I could never get back to working order.

I have other podemeters, but none of them worked as well. Most don't count my steps like they should, and I've tried a lot of others. One I'd gotten from a diet study the local college was doing on children, but the parents got a podemeter too.

I got a kit today about at Barnes-N-Noble about how many steps will burn up how many calories.

I've been part of the 10K aday challenge since Jan 03 and used a pedometer every day to make sure I do my 10,000 steps. it misses some steps but it never gives me free ones so I use it just to get them done.

you will find that your steps per book will be off too since not everybody runs their metabolism at the same rate.

    Happy low carbing.

      Thanks.
I know it also takes into account your stride length too, which my first podermeter took into account, but my others don't.
