  • New Years Resolutions

I was curious since we are all losing weight already, what would you make your New Years Resolution this year? I will go first.

I would like to 1. Stop yelling so much at my kids.
    2. Make a safe move to Arizona, hubby already staring his job on the 26th of Dec. I sure gonna miss him.

    How about you?

    Re: New Years Resolutions

Mine is a weight one! I want to reach goal and I'm going to do it properly. I've only ever been on Induction on this WOL and next year after my 2 weeks of Induction (after boozing it on New Years Eve!) I will move on to OWL and do this WOL properly.

I cant really think of anything else. I wrote a list last year of things that I wanted to achieve...one of them was to get back in to an aspect of my career which I have done. I also want to take better care of my skin and my body.

    26 yr 5'2 F
Did Atkins on and off from Feb 2005 until April 2008. Fluctuated between 15 st 1/211lbs and 11 st 1/155lbs.
On different weightloss programme from 28th May 2008 start weight 14 st 11/207lbs.
    Current weight 10st 3lbs/143lbs.
    Ultimate Goal Weight 9 st/126lbs.

        Re: New Years Resolutions

I missed this one!! lol....too much of speed reading probably!

Well, my pre New Years list is all marked up with my purple crayon; I had to get a jump start or I'd severly procrastinate big time! lol.

My New Years Resolution goes like this:

        1. Take care of me, that includes losing the 60 pounds stuck to me like glue
        2. Take my family on a vacation to the coast
        3. Pick up one new hobby...might include bow hunting. I said it "might".
        4. Get all A's on my report cards

...and the list will probably grow as the new year progresses.

            Re: New Years Resolutions

lol....yeah. I use to be in archery back in the days of old (aka: highschool). I accidently let it slip during a conversation with my hubby while we were talking about new hobbies. Yep, after 14 years of marriage I finally came clean to doing something outdoorsey. lol.

Now, DH is looking for bows and arrows for me and a lefty one for him. Ain't that nice? I told him that I will shoot at targets and not animals; after all, I'm lousey with hitting a moving target with a bow and arrow..lol.

                      Re: New Years Resolutions

Hrmm...I might be with Sally on that one...everytime I make a "resolution" to do something, I end up doing the exact opposite.

But I do have some on-going goals that I've already started working on and would like to achieve by this time next year.

                      1) Be at my goal weight (180) or at least get to a point where I can re-evaluate if that's where I want to be.
                      2) Improve my running endurance to be able to do 5 miles no problems...maybe eventually work up to a half marathon! Wouldn't that be something...
                      3) Do something different with my hair--ok that may sound stupid, but I think I need to do something foxy with it...I've always wanted dark dark hair...maybe I'll get some lowlights or something...or just dye it black! Right now it's just lonnnnnnnnnnng and golden brown.
                      4) Convince my boyfriend to join the gym with me. He used to lift weights and he used to enjoy it! He hasn't done anything in years...I think it would be good for him...and very sexy!
                      5) Be a better "domestic goddess." I'm not very good about doing dishes, or laundry, or any cleaning for that matter, and I feel somewhat bad about that. I need to start cleaning more often.

                          My resolutions:

1- Get to my goal weight, once and for all. And learn how to properly maintain it for life.

2- Make exercise a regular part of my life again. And figure out how to keep it that way.

3- Pay down as much debt as possible, preferably at least $10k.

4- Continue to rock at my job and give my bosses reason to give me another 10% raise!
