  • I'm stuck, can you point me to the right place?

I'm stuck at my current weight, it's been over a month and the number has not budged. I'm still on induction. I've tried switching up what I eat and when I eat just to see if it would "shock" me somehow, but nothing has changed. I know I have seen a thread here somewhere that talks about this very problem and how to concure it.

    Any help is much appreciated.
Oh...and just to add....my measurments have not changed either so I don't think that my total BMI has changed.

Hi there - How long have you been on induction? Sometimes, it is time to move on... to OWL. How about your water intake? Exercise level? Have you added some new exercises? How much do you have to lose? Perhaps you should also post a few days menus so we can take a look.

Having said all of that - I was stuck for 3 weeks, not an inch, not a pound, then WHOOSH.... Same with my hubby. Same with XXX (lots of people who are losing weight but it takes some adjustment for their bodies some times).

Let us hear from you on the above questions and lets see what we can do to get the WHOOSH FAIRY to come and visit!

Have you read the thread called 'weightloss is not linear' yet? Many of us found it reassuring.

Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

            Welcome to the board, Back2Back.

It may help to reevaluate what you are eating every day. Are you limiting your cheeses to 3-4 ounces per day, and avoiding manmade low-carb products like bars, tortillas, and the like? While many low-carbers enjoy these foods, they do tend to stall many and are thus worth considering as your culprit should they be a regular part of your menu.

            Best of luck!

Without knowing your stats etc. it is hard to say. How much have you lost? How much are you looking to lose? How much did you lose during your first two weeks of induction? When you state you are switching up......does that mean you moved to OWL at some point? How about posting a few days menus.....maybe someone can spot a problem. Are you exercising? Any new meds? Drinking your water?
Give us something to work with and I am sure we can figure out the problem!!

Thanks for the link! It makes alot of sense. I've been on induction now for about 3 months. I've lost 15 and have 7 more pounds too loose and then I will be back where I was prior to getting pregnant almost 3 years ago. My exercise has been limited I admit, and that is my downfall. Prior to getting pregnant, I was an avid weight trainer and was in top shape with a very low BMI. *sigh*...patience really is a virtue! As for my diet, I eat tuna or salmon every day with salad greens, my cheese intake is very little, way under what is allowed. In the evening I'm eating chicken or beef with some concoction of salsa or other vegetable. My water intake is about 3-4 liters a day.

Good for you on the loss already!!!!! When you have less to lose it takes longer and more frustrating.
How are your ratios? Fat/Protien/Carbs? Make sure you are eating enough AND enough fats.
IMHO.........move up the OWL ladder. Alot of people tend to start losing when they add the extra vegies.
And yes, exercise will also increase your metabolism!

Thanks Bren...I'm having a difficult time understanding all the ratios and trying to understand how to track everything. With an already diverse menu at home for my husband and baby, I find it a challenge to try and meander through my own diet! I've been sticking to the basics just because it's less hassle. However, I should revisit the OWL and see if I can try to adjust.
