I just found articles on the use of Agar Agar in the diet. (Agar is a plant based gel derived mostly from seaweed.It's been used in Japan for ages as a thickening agent, as well as for making their version of Jello, but lately they've been using it to feel fuller longer. It's 80% fiber as well, not to mention the fact that studies have been showing it may help with diabetes by controlling the sugar somehow. It's still in the lab stage of study at the moment.
I'm wondering if anyone has tried it and if they have, what have the results been.
