hi everyone, ok i know that some say you dont have to count calories but i feel like i might be going overboard, on fitday for the last two days i have been doing about 2300-2400 but i have been staying in my carb limit, my percentages have been fat between 65-70% protein 30% and carbs at 5% and today it was 4%. Im on day three of induction with a starting weight was 300lbs, im in ketosis but i know that dont mean you will lose. just wondering what is the calorie limit for someone with my weight. the last time i did this i tried to stay around 1900 calories but i also was down to 165, any input will help.

      Re: calories

As Tracie said, dont worry about calorie counting - especially when you are starting induction.

With the ratios that you are showing (assuming you are eating up to 20 net carbs) you are doing it right

At a starting weight of 300 pounds in fact your calorie intake is below what someone of your weight could be eating and maintaining weight according to most experts - they often quote 10-12 times your weight in pounds!!

Just eat according to the rules - eating when hungry and till no longer hungry, and (once ketosis kicks in) sticking to the 'dont go longer than 6 hours without eating' rule and you will soon become a big loser I am sure!!

Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

        Re: calories

I remember induction...was eating almost 5000 calories a day and still lost weight. It was weird but part of the process and I stabilized shortly after the 2 week period at around 2500-2800. Fitday, or a similar "conscience" is great for this tracking.

Don't sweat it at all...just do a clean 2 weeks.

Indeed, I think you are doing perfectly fine, your main concern for now is to get the ketosis going and to get used to eating this way (again), indeed, stick to a clean induction and the pounds will fall off of you in no time !!!
