  • Can this be true????

I started on 1/1 on induction for the first time. After 3 days I have lost 6.5 pounds.....I know I am not supposed to weigh myself yet but curiosity has gotten the better of me. What astounds me the most is that I have not even worked out this week due to a cold and I feel like crap..I guess its the Atkins flu. Has anyone else out there gotten results like this. Please let it last!!!!!!!!!!

It's good to see that water weight start flushing, isn't it?!

You can expect to see 5-10% of the total amount you need to lose gone after your 14 day induction. Hang in there. It only gets better from here.

Be warned: It *will* slow down. Don't let it discourage you.

    Keep on keepin' on!

      Congratulations on your loss!

Yuck, you have a cold and Induction Flu at the same time. Induction Flu will be gone before you know it, though, and you will feel 110% better. I promise!

Yah, induction flu normally doesn't take that long, only about 2 days of feeling bad.
        Good results though !!
May I ask how much you want to lose ?

Stay away from the scales! They can set you up for a let down once the initial diuretic effect subsides. A good bit of the initial loss you have seen is water and intestinal bulk which have cleared your system. Later, scales will also fluctuate periodically due to differences in water retention, so don't rely too much on a daily number.Drink lots of water & feel better soon!

            Re: Can this be true????

when i got on the scale this morning, it registered 10 lbs lost. since my rings are so much looser in only 2 days, i just had to check. almost too good ot be true, i know. and i realize it's water and perhaps some intestinal junk, but you know, i'll take it. it's a good start.

i have, however, vowed to limit the scale to once a week on Monday mornings. promise!

Glad that you're seeing results. Isn't that fun? Just don't get discouraged when they slow down - because it will slow down. And it doesn't mean you're doing anything wrong...in fact, its what is supposed to happen! Enjoy this time of rapid weight loss. Hope you're feeling better....
