Re: i need help right now!
I had chinese today. I order something that is unbreaded with lots of veggies. Ask them to make it with no rice, no sugar, and no starch, but use oil to cook it. I don't have a problem at all when I ask them this. It is a pain being so picky but at least you can have chinese. This is exactly what I ordered.
Mandarine Egg Foo Young with no rice, no sauce. Oil is O.k. I also don't want the peas or carrots. Extra broccoli would be great.
The restaraunt I order from is great about making it this way.
You could also order any induction allowed meat and veggie combination that you are sure isn't breaded. Just be sure to say no rice, no sauce.Michele SW250/CW 226/GW150 F, 38, 5'6"

Re: i need help right now!
5th day of Induction and your DH wants to order Chinese? I'm thinking either let him order his portions and make your own dinner.
However, if you can have the resturant make beef and broccoli or chicken and broccoli w/out sauce that would be ideal. I know most places will make it with just oil and seasonings and then add sauce right before they serve it, so perhaps when you call make sure you say, "I'm allergic to the sauce, but I LOVE your beef and broccoli!!!" Enjoy!

I chickened out. Instead we ordered pizza for the kids. I hate mussells and a small salad with ham, cheese and olives in it. The whole Chinese thing was really stressing me out. THanks for all your help!

Re: i need help right now!
I haven't had take out chinese food in over 3 years, i would find it the hardest food to eat on a low carb plan. for what you would end up with after removing all the 'bad' stuff, you'd really just have plain bland meat and veggies. and for what chinese takout costs here, i'd rather just make my own dinner really.
I'd say if yo uare craving chinese, do some recipe searches and make your own low carb versions!Jen, 39, F
