  • Any suggestions?

I am on my 6th day of induction but I have never had to do it on the weekend and I feel kind of stressed since I am home all day (and there is food around that I can't eat, even though I don't want to) and we are used to eating out a lot on the weekends and I want to avoid that....now that I am listening to myself I sound like a whiny baby...I have lost 9 pounds in 5 days so I should just shut up and deal with it! OK, I answered my own question!!! I guess I just needed to vent but I will post this anyway. Everyone have a great weekend!

If its any consolation, the weekends are generally the hardest time to stick to it. Atleast during the week you have work to take your mind off of eating. Stay strong, focussed and remind yourself why you want to lose weight, things will feel a lot easier then.

    Good luck

It never ceases to amaze me of how easy and how effective this ***diet*** is!!

I have since re-gained a bit of weight, but that is soon to be coming off again!

Weekends are tough. Find a project to keep your mind off of foods you can't have. Clean the basement, the attic, your drawers and closets, under your kitchen sink, etc. When you feel like you just can't stand it, come online here and post.

I am wearing a pretty ring on my finger in my efforts to remind myself of my commitment to this woe. (I don't wear a lot of rings so this "feels" funny and is a nice reminder)

I also am brushing my teeth more and putting on lipstick! Who wants to mess up their mouth after doing that much detail to it? Makes me really think before I stick something in there!

Good luck. It is funny the games I play to lose weight! hope it works for me! (and you)

            Re: Any suggestions?

I find that over the weekend I usually don't drink as much water as I do during the week so if I keep it handy sometimes it helps the cravings, or keep really easy, fatty snacks around... or do something that distracts me like working out (not watching a movie since it's like, sitting and snack time).

I have just been playing kind of a gross game with myself and it has helped me drink tons of water today. I just cleaned out my minivan (mom of 4) and i tried to drink the remains of all the water bottles I found under the seats...I just hope they belonged to someone in my family!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! By the way Heidi....you look amazing.

So is your weekend so far coming ok with sticking to the plan?
Once you get a hang of it it is really not that hard, especially when everybody around you starts to understand that you are going to do this no matter what they say.

A true trusting mom for sure! You get the award for not only drinking your water today while doing a job that nobody really likes, but also avoiding the waste. Nice.

Keep on going! And...you may want to drink some fresh water

Thanks Lisa,,just had some clean water. Very tasty!!! Hi Sol....weekend is going good so far..keeping busy and away from the kitchen. I am not hungry its just a pshychological thing....you know weekend=pig out and eat whatever. My husband and I are going out to dinner tonight..alone....and will be having prime rib and salad. he is doing this with me so it is so much easier. WE are also both very competitive and neither one of us would ever be the first to quit.
