Re: jumping around
It all depends on your CCLL and how your body responds to different foods. We has one member whose weight loss came to a screeching halt everytime she added whole grain bread to her diet. We have had others who have had problems with different dairy products, vegetables, fruits, etc.Originally posted by shericeI am watching my carb intake..but i skipped and jumped in the rungs ...My body seems to be ok....plus I check for ketones everyday and I am in ketosis....so I should continue to lose right? Just do what the Rules of OWL say:
http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...ead.php?t=5517
Oh by the way, as you begin to add carbs to your diet, those ketostix stop working once you reach 40-50 carbs daily. You can still be in ketosis by the physicial signs, but those stix are useless.- Keep protein and fat as the mainstays of your diet.
- Increase your daily carbohydrate intake by no more than 5 grams each week.
- Add new foods in the order listed in the carbohydrate ladder.
- Add one new food group at a time.
- Eat a food group no more than three times per week to start, then eat it daily.
- Stop new foods immediately if they provoke weight gain, the return of physical symptoms lost doing Induction or increased appetite or cravings.
- Continue doing OWL until you have five to 10 pounds left to lose.

Re: jumping around
Sherice, are you keeping track of how many net carbs you are eating daily? We have to count our carbs on Atkins, especially during OWL phase.Originally posted by shericeso then i must be below that for it to register right?
Alot of people find http://www.fitday.com to be very helpful in tracking their daily carb intake. Believe me, you're only making it harder on yourself if you don't count those carbs and what kinds of carbs you are eating. Because if you should suddenly lose weight and you haven't been keeping track of these things, you're in the dark about what caused it and what to do about it.
So please, keep track of your carbs, for your sake.
