Hi everyone - just wanted to thank everyone here for your wonderful help & advice - most of which I've benefited from by lurking and reading through your posts.
I started Atkins in late August 2006, at 336 pounds. At present (Jan. 14), I'm at 292 (that's a 44 pound loss). Goal weight is 195. I have a goal of doing a lot of bicycle touring with my new Trek 520 bike (which I purchased as a reward for getting below 300).
Just some encouragement to those who may be starting out - stick with it, don't quit, this is a LIFESTYLE, not a "diet". Stick to the Atkins book, but if you get off track, get back on the Atkins horse and start riding it again.
