  • Suggestions Please!

Hello! I went on vacation and *think* I broke my toe. It is pretty uncomfortable to walk on, and I am definitely not able to run. I was hoping someone had some exercise suggestions for me while my foot heals?

    Thanks!

    Re: Suggestions Please!

last year at thanksgiving I had a log thrown and hit my foot and I think I broke a toe.

I just hobbled around and tried to do normal stuff but lower impact.

It hurt for months but finally stopped hurting. Now I have what I call an elephant toe where the end of it curl under but it does not hurt anymore.

I don't know if there is anything a DR can do because I did not see one. My husband tried to minimize it and say it was not broke because someone in his family had done it to me (On accicent I guess). But it sure did hurt.

Yes! With a guest pass once at a 24 Hour Fitness, I spotted a piece of cardio equipment called TORSO. It looked like a recumbent bike where you use your arms instead of your legs to pedal. Worth checking out!

Anything upper body would be fine to do. Leg lifts or any other lower body exercises that won't put a strain on your foot might be okay too.

But if I were you, I'd see what kind of lower body activity is okay for you to do.
