  • Another diet soda question

Is caffeine free diet coke okay to drink? If so, what is the max per day? I started on 1/3/07 and have lost 8lbs to date. I'm wondering if drinking regular DC has slowed me down.

I believe I read that diet coke is made with aspartame and not splenda and that can sometimes slow down the weight loss. I been drinking Diet Rite Zero, its a bit sweet but it has no caffine and no aspartame. Im not sure what the max is tho, but I have one can a day.
    I hope this helps.

Stick to 3 servings of sweeteners and you wont go far wrong. so check the can/bottle to see how many servings it contains - I think a 12 ounce can = 1.5 servings.

Remember to count ever ysweetener serving as one carb including any in food as well as drinks.

For the past few months, I've kept it out of the house. Never thought I was the "type" before, but hasn't been too painful! It is something only to be enjoyed when I dine out. Besides, I feel it is nicer to focus on water anyway.

My thought on diet coke is this: it's not made of anything that might resemble natural "food". I'd yahoo for a list of the ingredients and what they possibly do in your body but I threw out all the coke in my house a while ago. Your body in fat-burning mode is unleasing and then trying to flush out toxins as fast as possible, why introduce new toxins for it to work on? It makes your liver work harder.

Also, sweets have a way of reinforcing your desire to have more of them. I cut out diet coke and have since not even thought about chocolate, cakes, candy bars, etc. Don't set yourself up for failure.

Besides, it has caffeine which should be avoided (follow my words, not my action )
