Ok I havent been on low carb ( less than 20 carbs per day) for 4 weeks now. I started at 197 and went down to 186. I have been 186 for the past 3 weeks now. I work out at least 5 times a week. I change up my phsycial activity everyday. I do the cross trainer, elliptical, stair master, sculpting classes, kick boxing, and spinning. I also check to see if I am in ketosis two times a day. I drink at least 8 - 10 glasses of water a day and take multivitimins. Im getting so discouraged now. My goal is to between 120 - 125. Any advice.

Re: Scale wont BUDGEEEEE
Do you mean you have been on the program for 4 weeks? Are you eating enough? How do you feel? Have you taken measurements? My first thought was that with all that exercise and if you are doing the program correctly...then you are weighing muscle. I'd suggest you take your measurements and see if you are losing inches. If not, then re-evaluate your foods and portions. Don't get discouraged. I've found it isn't a downhill battle all the time.
Our bodies are constantly changing and therefor we have to continually work around the obstacles. List your meals and have them evaluated, count everything you eat (there might be hidden carbs).

Re: Scale wont BUDGEEEEE
Did you take measurements of yourself before you began Atkins? I went through a period of time where I didn't lose any pounds but I did lose dress sizes.

Re: Scale wont BUDGEEEEE
See what you weigh in a few more days. Lots of times the scale can be misleading due to water retention.~Susan

Re: Scale wont BUDGEEEEE
Not only that, but you don't say since how long you are doing those work outs, if you only started them not too long ago your body still might be adjusting to getting to work so hard, in the beginning your muscles retain water for that, after a while when they understand that this is how life is going to be for them they will start to let go of the water and then you might see the scale move again, and of course indeed like said before, measure your body, muscle weighs more than fat but looks waaaaay better !!!

Re: Scale wont BUDGEEEEE
I'm glad you posted this thread. I came on here this morning to post about the very same thing. I've been stuck at a number for awhile too, but I just started my work out this week. So seeing your thread and peoples comments has helped to remind me about all the challenges involved. It really is about patience and time. I don't think 4 weeks is a long time to be 'stuck' especially if like another memeber mentioned, you are working out that hard. I would measure if I were you. Or better yet, if your gym measures for body fat (BMI), get that checked as well.
Good luck!

Re: Scale wont BUDGEEEEE
Yeah it really could well be that it is due to the working out.
I started working out more than I used to as well a little over 3 weeks ago and for me the scale isn't moving a milli-inch either, I know where you are coming from, it feels so dissapointing, but you know you are working so hard to make this work and so IT WILL !!!!
My weight even started going up again in the beginning, not enormously, but a couple of pounds, I am now at the point that it is the same from when I started the hard workout regiment and I am hoping in some time to see at last something happening weightwise.
I see and feel though that my clothes start feeling looser, so I am sure I am losing SOMETHING, it's just not weight, oh well, I don't mind, as long as that tight jeans will not be as tight in the end, heheeeeee.
Keep up the good work, you can do it !!!!41 year old female, lenght 5'5'' and a half
