  • A little Help. Ive Stalled

    So I havent lost any weight in almost 3 weeks

    I think a ive gained muscle mass as I have been lifting pretty heavy at the gym for the last 3 weeks.

    so that could be one reson but how do I jump start my weight loss again?

    I finally got down to 198 from 227 and am stuck there.

    The only changes I have really made are I may be drinking a little too much coffee and diet soda. I found a low carb ice cream (bryers carb smart) it has only 4g of carb per 1/2 cup. Ive increased my vegetable intake but am still drinking 2-3 liters of water a day.

    any ideas?

    Technically a stall isnt really classified as a stall if you havent lost weight or inches for 6 weeks as often its your body "re-adjusting". Do you know if you have lost any inches anywhere, Forest?

    Also, as you mentioned in your fist sentence, you have gained muscle. Muscle does weigh more than fat, so thats a possible reason.

    I have since re-gained a bit of weight, but that is soon to be coming off again!

      ahh ok so then that could be a ligical explaination if my body is re adjusting.

      I figured the muscle mass was a issue with no weight gain

      I guess i should measure myself in inches as well. I think I may have lost some inches. I just moved down to a 34 waist (first time in 7 years wooohooo) and even those jeans are now a bit loose

        Don't sell yourself short. Are you taking measurements. I went through a very long stall well not stall but, a long LUL of over 2 months where the scale did not move. it was at that time that I started a heavy lifting routine and the weight well scale weight was not moving, but, I was losing inches. The scale is not your friend especially when you start to build lean body mass. Go more by the tape mease the scale will not tell you how much muscle you have put on or how much fat you actually have it just tells you a number and my guess is that your measurements are shrinking along with your routine.

          Have you tried reducing the coffee and diet soda?

            im going to cut out soda completely

            coffee is a little touhger for me but im going to try and cut back to 1 cup a day

            i tried to quit this am (coffee) and lasted until about 10am. My employees thought i was going to go postal LOL and ran out and got me some

              one thing at a time ...try the soda first ...wait and see then choose whatever next ...too much at one time ...well I dont know about you but my head explodes and I end up going backwards!!!

              this works it just takes time and attention is all ....
