    Yet another Question
With super bowl being this sunday I will have about 8 other folks over to watch the game. While they are whooping it up drinking and eating all the snacks I like and provide are there any suggestions for good induction safe snacks. I like the cheese I know I can have a couple broccoli spears celery sticks cauliflour and a very very small amount of ranch dip. I love the salami and pepperoni but they all seem to contain sodium nitrate and the good doctor Atkins says to avoid that. I would love some good suggestions and other folks may benifit also. I know all of you smart Ladys about this site will have some good ideas. and oh yeah "GO COLTS"....thanks Bob

Jalapeno poppers--slice jalapeno in half, take out the seeds and membranes, fill with cream cheese, wrap with bacon and bake. YUMMY!

Hot wings--butter and Franks red hot sauce. Yummy!

Veggie sticks--red, green, yellow peppers, celery, jicama, cucumber (all salad veggies btw) and ranch or blue cheese dip.

    Pork rinds (watch the salt)

Miniature mozzarellas (do you get those in the States???) with a cut in them, where you put a small piece of prosciutto or speck.

Avocado cubes (smear with lemon juice to stop discoloration) on a cocktail stick with a piece of fried bacon.

Hormel sells this really disgusting "football snack tray" with pepperoni and cheese in it. I haven't tried it, but the guy in the grocery store says he eats them all the time and it is certainly induction friendly!

I would probably go for veggies and blue cheese dip myself....

              Re: Super Bowl Sunday Snacks

We have 2 football parties every year at a friends, with about 20 ppl. in November it was Grey Cup (canadian football final) and the Superbowl. The hosts wife makes chilli and supplies the buns, chips etc, i make sure i bring enough different snacks that I wont be interested at all in the high carb stuff.

              Chicken wings
veggie platter with peppers, cauliflower, celery, radishes, mushrooms.
              Kolbassa Sausage, other deli meats
small skewers with alternating cheese cubes and peppers and tomatos brushed with itialian dressing

Bob, i'm not sure why you say a 'very very small amount' of ranch dressing? Full fat ranch dressing is allowed, and blue cheese etc. I wouldn't eat gallons of it LOL, but no need to only have a teeny tiny bit either?

                  Devilled eggs

Scotch eggs: boil eggs, peel and cover them with country sausage, saute or bake to cook the sausage.

Steak cubes: grill a steak, cut into cubes.

Just because I'm lazy, I bake mine in the oven with whatever spices you prefer. Then, I melt the butter in the microwave and mix in franks red hot sauce and toss the wings in that mixture.

They are DEEELICIOUS. I'll also put this on pork, beef, whatever type of meat. It's really good.
