Re: magnesium citrate???
Hi Mayceo. Not sure about the magnesium citrate. It's true that sucrose is carby... if it's a tiny tiny amount you'd need to try it and see if it stalled you.
It would perhaps be better to try psyllium husks or flaxseed (ground). These are allowed in induction, for constipation. Start with one tablespoon (you can sprinkle it in salads or use one of the many induction friendly recipes you'll find on this board) and increase as needed. In induction you're only supposed to have the amount that 'gets things moving', no more.
Hope this helps and you feel better soon. Before and after:

Re: magnesium citrate???
If I felt I needed it, I would try a gentle oral laxative or an enema over magnesium citrate. Not only does this stuff taste terrible, but you will have to be near a toilet for an entire day. You will have probably have explosive diarrhea and cramps!
I also had some constipation during induction. Things got regular again once I moved into the vegetable rung and started adding more veggies. I'm in my 5th week of Atkins and everything is again normal.
