I hope not cause i am kinda i stall and still have 80 lbs to lose. LOL I think if you go on and off the diet over and over again i think it might get harder to lose.

Certainly, in the long run, if you abuse induction and repeatedly go on and off it, you might mess up your metabolism. Also, many say that it's harder to lose the second time around...

...but I've never heard of this way of eating "stopping working" completely because your body got used to it.

If it stops working (i.e. you stop losing weight), there's a reason, be it medical or technical (as in cheating, falling off wagon).

Are you having difficulties? If so... tell us and maybe we can help.

If it helps I am a second time arounder.....and this time it is going as well as last time if not better! I am wiser about my personal pitfalls, and know better how to avoid them. I am still losing as fast as the first time around, I am not sure what phase you are in, but if you are stuck for awhile, maybe posting a menu for one of the pros will help!

            Re: I need help!

thanks guys its just that once i got on my target weight i went through maintenancebut completely took my mind off checking the weight. i had gained 40 pounds. I started the 2 week clean induction over again with proper diet and excercise and no results. a friend of mine had been on the diet had this happened to her before. so she broke the diet to fully get her out of ketosis and the excess protein we get and started the induction... what do you think?

                Re: I need help!

I would only go back to induction, do it as clean as possible and work out, it might take time but you WILL start losing again.
Look at it as a ball on a rubberband, it stretches and then will bounce back, but there is this moment where it seems like it's not moving, not going forward nor backwards, I think that is what your body is doing, making kinda steps in place before it will start losing again, don't worry, it'll work!!!!

I would do meat and eggs for 7 days to kick start you back into ketosis.

                    Re: I need help!

I am sorry, but that is not going to make it go any faster, even when you do eat the amount of veggies that you need every day (the 3 cups) you will still kick start it !!!
So leaving out that needed nutricion is NOT gonna help.

                      Re: I need help!

I'm with Soliwit, I think starting a clean induction is the way to go. Drink the water, exercise and wait it out - you've had success before, you're a young guy so it should work again.

Personally I wouldn't just eat meat and eggs because of the lack of balance, but mainly because of the hideous constipation that may result. Also this is a long term plan - to break some habits and ease into others. Just my 2p (and yes I know it's $0.02 but I'm British )

This is where finding your CCL " CRITICAL CARB LEVEL" really helps, once you find it and stop loosing, then drop back 5 carbs and give it some time to see if the weight loss kicks in. At least thats the way I understand it.
You do look amazing by the way so you must be doing something right

                          Re: I need help!

Yes... I'd simply stick with a new clean induction and progress from there. It may be slower second time around, and it may take a while for weight loss to kick in (even a few weeks), but eventually your body will give way and the pounds will go. Hang in there... it's soooo worth it and you looked fantastic at goal!
