Ok ladies and gents of UK. Tomorrow is Shrove Tuesday. Don't feel left out because of pancakes. Here's a recipe for you......

Is Shrove Tuesday like Fat Tuesday? The Tuesday before Lent, (I think). In Detroit, Fat Tuesday means paczkis. DO you have a low carb recipe for those? LOL

Shrove Tuesday=Fat Tuesday. But Shrove Tuesday is more fun! Don't the peons get to dress up like kings???!??!?! I'm trying to remember from my Shakespeare class in college...

PHODE--Um yeah, low carb paczkis? Fat chance. No pun intended. UGH, I remember EVERY SINGLE Fat Tuesday, there would be a news story on the paczki run at the local bakeries. Of course, it helped that half of Bay City was of Polish ancestry, myself included.

Paczkis are probably the worst food a person could eat...but even still...those raspberry ones were DARN good.

You know, I never even had one. I couldn't bring myself to stand in line in the freezing cold for a jelly doughnut. I'd rather have pierogies than paczki's.

Our church would have a paczki sale, and my aunt always worked the sale--that's the only way we ever got any! My family didn't want to stand in line, either.

MMMMMMMMMMMM pierogies. I love the mashed potato ones.

Actually now that I think of it, you probably could make a low carb paczki. Isn't there a doughnut recipe that uses protein powder? Judges ruling thinks it would be a major pain in the butt to make, though.
