    Meat and Eggs is only for a week, to break a stall, not forever.I tried everything and this is the only thing that worked.This forum is supossed to be for support, and I am just suggesting it as I know it works, just basically passing it on, taken or not.

      I know it's supposed to be used for support, but a meat and egg fast is NOT Atkins, nor is it healthy, nor do I consider it support.

      I know you're trying to be helpful, Diva, and that's excellent. I just want Super to know some more information about the meat/egg fast before she jumps in, especially because by no means is that "doing Atkins." Atkins is about continual weight loss and health improvement, not shedding pounds fast. It's a lifestyle change. I think Super should be doing things to improve her well-being and not be hasty.

        Thanks for everyone's responses! I didn't want to get anyone kind of aruging! Maybe I'm just going through a slump right now!
        I've thought about it and I think I'll probably just try to keep doing what I'm doing...Keep my salads and veggies, keep my meat and maybe just vary it a little bit and see if anything changes. Maybe change my veggies up for a while, or use less salt (not that I use a LOT) or just eat my meat a little different.
        And maybe see if I can push myself to do a little more cardio for a while when I'm working out...I've been doing about 40-45 minutes of it out of the 60-70 minutes I'm at the rec center...so maybe for a week or so I'll cut my weights down 15 minutes or so and just add that to my cardio.
        Hopefully something will sort it out.

          If you keep not losing weight, maybe you should try what Dr. Atkins suggested for his fat fast, and follow his rules (moving immediately back into induction) to see if that helps? I also agree with Julie about the tracking everything that goes into your mouth for a period of time and see what you end up with for calories, and percentages and see if it actually *could* be something from there before cutting veggies.

          On a different note, Diva, it's great to be supportive, and it's great that the meat/egg thing is working for you, but this forum is to provide support for folks on the Atkins diet. I don't know exactly what you're supposed to do once you stay just eating basically protein for a week, but I have to say what Julie said... it's not healthy to eat that much protein, you can gain weight from it, and people have died from their bodies not being able to process that much protein. That type of diet is what gave Atkins the bad rap about killing people. I'm sorry, I'm not trying to be mean, but I don't want anything to happen to you. Things like the fat fast were recommended by Dr. Atkins to be used when nothing else works, not to just go back and forth to in order to break a stall.
