I decided about 2 weeks ago that i would have a diet pepsi a couple of times a day to help with the sweet tooth. I started with the regular diet pepsi and noticed about 2-3 days after i started drinking it that every day at around 3:00 in the afternoon, I would crave something sweet soooo bad..it was almost manic how bad I wanted sugar. I decided that it must be the aspartame. But, as I was reading the boards I came across a post about caffeine and sugar cravings. I decided it couldn't hurt to try diet pepsi- just make it the caffeine free kind. I have been drinking caffeine free diet pepsi since and have gone about 6 days with no sugar cravings at all. I guess it depends on the person but it looks like for me... caffeine was the trigger.. not the aspartame. Just wanted to share.
