How many of you still loosing (what is your average) when consuming 30-40 grams of carbs?

Do you exercise? Or do you do little exercise? or do you do no exercise?

I'm not a big exerciser, I need to loose 10 more pounds (I've lost 30 over the last 4 years or so), 30-40 carbs is easy for me, 20 seems to be really hard to stay with it. Any advise would help.

    Re: Number of Carbs

THis is what the Ongoing Weightloss phase and premaintenance are for. You will determine how many carbs a day you can eat and keep losing. If you have only 10 lbs left to lose you should not be eating on induction level carbs anymore and I suggest you move onto OWL asap so you candetermine your CCLL.

Everyones level that they can lose will be different, we all have different metabolisms, different levels of exersize etc..so youshouldn't base your level on someone elses, you should take the proper steps to determine yourself.

Your loss will depend on your CCLL. Everyone has a CCLL so it will be disingenous to tell you "Yeah, I lose eating up to 50 net carbs daily, so I don't see why you can't do the same thing" or "I can't lose weight if I eat over 20 net carbs, so I don't think you should eat over that either."

As for exercise....according to Dr. Atkins, it's non-negotiable. So it's a mandatory part of this diet.

Yes, what Jen & Megs said; addind one pointer that whan you find your CCLL at some point on the diet, make note of your corresponding exercise level. A decrease in the regular exercise will cause your CCLL to drop, thereby causing you to potentially gain if you keep eating the same amount of carbs.

Additional exercise likewise should have the opposite effect.
