Re: When you have stalled your weight loss..

Oh I know your trying to help me figure this out and that is what I wanted. I am just thinking and figuring out loud. I am the one needing to make sure that is not the problem and you just heard me rationalizing through that. I am not as depressed about it all as I was this morning sorry for dragging you all into this but yes I am leaning on your knowledge to help and support me. It depends on which weight loss web site you go to. A number of them tell you to use your goal weight not your current overweight condition to figure your calorie needs and use that to base your low calorie diet on. Thanks and dont give up on me I am not going to let it win. I am a doer and a fixer. It seems broke to me and therefore I feel I need to fix something. I also always finish whatever I start. I will loose this fat...maybee with a stick of dynomite but I will loose it. I must go to my office now for a while I will check back when I get home

ah...no worries....I think you received more advice through this thread, than you did through your 'hit the brick wall' which is a good thing...(as Martha Stewart would say)

Ok since I think part or all of my problem is not enough calorie intake and I may well be in a survival mode. I am going to move up to rung two on owl. The added dairy gives me the ability to make it up to 1800 calories per day. If you may have read under the Brick Wall post yesterday which was faily normal eating for me I ate 1400 calories. Thats too low for a 5'11" 200 pound 52 year old male. I believe that would go with my symtems of no energy, no weight loss, and really quick fatigue when I try to exercise. This way I can stick with Atkins and feel I am working through my problem. I just cant bring myself to change to something other when I feel Atkins can be right for life. please give some input on my thoughts. I know several of you said move up when I first posted a problem which I did that same day. I think its the right track but need to move up one more now. Thanks tons for all your help...Bob

Yes. I'm about 5'11" and 200lbs and I know my bmr is roughly 2000 calories. I eat between 1800-2200 normally. You can definitely do with eating more!
