  • Atkins beats Zone, Ornish and U.S. diet advice

Story on Cnn ... again some critics but over all I think it is positive.

    http://www.cnn.com/2007/HEALTH/diet.....ap/index.html

    Here is a quote:

Overweight women on the Atkins plan lost more weight over a year than those on the low-carb Zone diet. And they had slightly better blood pressure and cholesterol readings than those on the Zone; the very low-fat, high-carb Ornish diet, and a low-fat, high-carb diet similar to government guidelines.

That's it. Atkins has finally achieved "Sexy" status.

Thanks for posting. These articles were so encouraging yesterday - and I couldn't help but notice that this board's number of viewers has since skyrocketed!

You know it is sad that Dr. Atkins died before any of this came to light. But he really knew in his heart and his research that he had the most positive, progressive, and healthy way to loose weight. Dr. Atkins will be truely missed but never forgotten.

I am 50 years old, and I remember back in the 80's following his diet to get into the Navy's Weight standards back then. It worked and it keeps working when I fall out of line and gain too much weight. So, Dr. Atkins was right back then and is correct now in the most effective way to loose weight and keep it off.

      Good on ya, Dr.

This is really great! I'm tired of people saying "if you go on Atkins you'll die"!! This research just proves that this WOL is just great!
