    Re: Braggs Apple cidar Vinagar

I've tried drinking a dash of ACV in water, as I've also heard it has health benefits. It made me sick to my stomach. I hate puking, sooooo that was about it for my experience with ACV.
I also have acid reflux, I don't know if that had anything to do with my poor reaction to it.

I use regular organic ACV sometimes (not Braggs) when my acid reflux gets bad. it helps. as for weight loss, never used it for that reason, but my mom did and it helped her a lot.

funny I should come across this thread....I was talking to my daughter in law today and she was telling me about a remedy for 'heart burn'. She is very prego and her neighbor is big into organic products told her to take two tablespoons of Braggs organic Apple cider vinegar with mother.

Now, I'm not sure what the 'mother' is but thats what she said.......
She took some one morning and after spuddering for 10 seconds....the heart burn feeling went away.

I'm not sure what 'mother' is too. I've read it in a couple of websites but never figured it out. in my case just plain organic ACV works. the taste isn't all great but its bareable (I find the taste better than Gaviscon )

The "mother" is a gooey, jelly-like substance in vinegars that make the vinegar. It's alive because it's either yeast or bacteria (good kinds of both).

Frankly, if you incorporate vinegar or lemon juice or whatever into your diet, incorporate it as an ingredient of a dish. For example, use the vinegar or lemon juice as part of a salad dressing or add a dash of it to a creammed veggie soup in order to brighten the flavors.
