If I don't cheat and exercise daily, is it possible that I could lose 25 pounds in 3 months on Atkins? I have tried so many different diets and hope that this one will work for me. Thanks in advance for your comments.

    Re: weight loss

hmm good question there La Shae. Everybody is different . Some people lose faster than others for various reasons ( medications etc.) i have lost 15 pounds in 7 weeks ( had a bit of a slow down after induction) but I am not in a great big hurry - Do you have a special occasion coming up ( hence the 3 months time frame?) If you take on Atkins as a life choice then you have the rest of your life to enjoy its blessings. I certainly think that you could lose a fair bit of weight in 3 months ... but be aware that sometimes the weight comes off in fits and starts with nothing happening for a week or two then a few more pounds dissappearing... its just the nature of how our bodies work . I too have tried different diets but i have considered atkins to be the only one that is do-able long term and would be easy to eat this way for life.
    Good Luck!

As Donna says, it's impossible to say how much you'll lose as we're all so different. Be aware that if you add in a lot of exercise, you won't lose so much "weight" as you'll be making muscle, which weighs heavier than fat...but you will lose inches, which is far better.
Moral of the story: measure yourself at the start and use inches lost as your yardstick. The tape measure is far more reliable than the scales.

      Happy low carbing!

            LaShae,

What do you have to loose? Try the Atkins Way for the first month and see what you think of it. It may be the way to go. Like others in this thread say, everyone is different and each of us loose weight according to our metabolism but you know, we all loose weight on atkins. So, I ask you again, What do you have to loose in trying Atkins?

Money back if you are not happy with your results. Well, there is no money to return to you but if you follow the plan and don't loose weight then there could be a medical problem with your metabolism that Atkins can't address directly.

Atkins cured me from spelllling probems.. see it works. So Try it, You'll Like it.

Give a it a go LaShae

Everyone is different and people lose at different rates but...

25lbs in three months is a fairly reasonable goal (it would be about 2lbs/week).

                  Re: weight loss

I lost a lil more than 25 lbs in my first 3 months, but it kind of depends on how much you have to lose and how hard you work at it. Just so you know though. If you atkins and lose the weight and then go right back to your normal way of eating, you WILL most likely gain it all back. Atkins is a life change not a diet. Good luck and have a blast in florida.

what weight are you starting at? If you are close to your ideal body weight, or less, i would imagine it would be harder compared to if you needed to lose more weight to hit your ideal body weight range. It is very obtainable to lose 25 lbs in 3 months, my husband did it.

                      Re: weight loss

I'm 5'0 tall and starting from 150 lbs. I know that does not seem like much but it is on my small frame. I have felt so uncomfortable lately and can fit into only a few of my clothes! Ugghhh, frustrating!!!! As I said, I know that doesn't seem like much--that's why it seems so hard to get it off.
