  • Sugar Free gum question

So im finally quiting smokeing Yeahhhheeaaaaa lol

Now the gums i have are sugar free but both have carbs from sugar alcohols

one is 2g carb and one is 1g

do I need to count these in my daily carbs? Since they both have artificial sweetners do I need to count them in my daily sweetner count?

    any advice would be great

    thanx

    Re: Sugar Free gum question

I've given up the sugar free gum because a stick is just NOT worth 2 carbs to me.
I am hooked on Dentyne Fire Mints..... zero carbs and zero sugar alcohols and use sucralose as a sweetner.

Forest, yes you do need to count them in your daily sweetener allowance. Personally, its something I have never had since I started Atkins, as I didnt want the gum / mintyness (if mintyness is a word) to give me the taste for sweet stuff again. But thats a divided subject, some people do chew, and some don't.

I chew in dire emergencies (like if I had a rather potent lunch and I don't want to breathe fire on my students) and make sure to count the carbs. Check the package--some gums list 1 piece as a serving, others list 2 pieces as a serving.

            Good going, Forest
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
