    Vanilla/imitation vanilla??

    I was wondering, I have a few recipes I wanna try out but I see some call for vanilla but is it extract or imitation vanilla extract??

    Also, is it induction legal??? I don't remember seeing that it was allowed..if not when is it??

    I just don't wanna mess myself up.

      According to Atkins' Carb Counter, vanilla has .3 grams of carbs per teaspoon. Vanilla falls under the "Spice" category, as far as I can tell!

      Personally, I recommend the real stuff. It's more expensive, but I use less and it tastes better!

          I just bought some NOW organic vanilla. Its great and it only cost $5.99 for a 2oz bottle and it even has a dropper..No sugar added..

              i noticed that some imitation vanilla had sugar in it when i read the ingredients, so its probably safer to use pure vanilla extract, not to mention the pure vanilla extract taste better
