My excuse for not eating carby things: Why stay miserable?

Well, I have a million excuses, but here are some of the top ones:
I want to be able to go out with my friends and not be "the fat one"
I want to be able to shop for clothes without going home and crying.
I want to stop wondering if my husband is disgusted when he looks at me.
I want to go to the beach and actually SWIM instead of sitting on the sidelines.
I want to be confident.
I want to wear the style of clothes I WANT instead of what I can find to fit me.
I want to know my future granchildren.
I want to LIVE my LIFE to the FULLEST.

That I don't have to spend 5 minutes considering if I could get into something (airline seat, ride at the carnival). That I can keep up witha group of people when walking. And then of course a ditto to all the previous posts.

My excuse is I want to age WELL and totally avoid the so-called inevitable signs of aging .. you know .. when the men over 50 have the same shape as the women over 50 ... both are on medications to control high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes ...
I ain't eatin' crap cuz I don't want to look like crap. I want to end up being a HOT GRANDMA SOMEDAY and so every day from now until that time comes, I'm gonna eat right and run my butt off.
I want to keep my
Arms,
Legs,
Kidney's
Brain
and overcome my risk of diabetes completely!!!!!!!!!!
Don't want to die the same miserable death as my uncle... rather die having fun! lol

1. I don't want my 4 beautiful and healthy children to become overweight and miserable people like I have become; instead I want them to learn by me example.
2. I want to be able to take my kids to the beach, we live 20 minutes away and never go because I'm too selfish to take them because I'm embarassed.
3. I don't want to have the health problems that can come with being obese (diabetes/high BP and others).
4. When my kids ask me to play with them I want it to involve not sitting on the couch, but going outside and running and actually playing!
5. I want to be hired on as a full time fire fighter and not be the "fat" EMT with the cute face.
6. I don't want to be tired, cranky and controlled by sugar and icky processed foods.
7. I want to actually be able to wear what's in style, but not what I can fit into.
8. I want to stop coming up with excuses why I won't or can't lose weight.
9. I'm tired of my thighs rubbing together!
10. When my 3 boys have their friends come over, I want their friends to think I'm younger than I look!
time to bump this because of pm's i recieve question WHY do we do this. WHY sitck to plan?
here's another one and maybe it's been said before but making this journey and being successful, no matter what phase you might be on, is going to be an encouragment to others who still have to get to where you are.

This threat has been such a wonderful motivator, Thank you. There are so many more reasons not to cheat than to cheat, seeing then written out is just amazing.
My reasons for starting atkins:
I want to race my motorcycle without spending thousands of dollars on gear to make my bike lighter.
I want to go hiking with my kids again before they are grown
I want my daughter to look at me and not worry about her own body when she grows up
I don't want to spend my life at work or on the couch because I am too tired to do anything else
I don't want to end up diabetic or look like my mother
I want to wear that cute designer miniskirt I bought in 1997 and have never once wore!
I want to look in the mirror without shame
I want to look at my daughter as she grows into her body and not think, "I used to look like that"

it's just about time for that designer miniskirt to be a fashion statement, light!
and the more serious reasons dealing with family and selfworth are tremendous and the most important reasons for STAYING COMMITTED.
recently i've discovered another one for myself. i'll bet it applies to most everyone
I DON'T WANT TO FEEL LETHARGIC ANYMORE! that's what a few extra pounds, even at goal will do to you. plus i don't want to do induction over...........ever. lol
