Can you post a menu? it sounds like low blood sugar (the shakes) maybe a plate of fish was not the best thing to eat on an empty stomach? If it continues to happen I would see a dr.

But inthe meantime please post a menu. perhaps you are not eating enough causing blood sugar issues.

Do you have the flu? Maybe it's not related to the diet at all.

        Hey there,

Ok well today I had a 3 egg omelette with 2 rashers of bacon for my breakfast and then when I got in from town I had a medium piece of Salmon with some Tuna as I needed something quick!!

Oh and also 2 coffees with single cream and 3 pint glasses of water?

        What do you think?

Now I still feel really nauseous and slightly shaky?

I don't know the answer to your question exactly, but it sounds like the induction flu to me and it could just be that fish fell wrong.
Just wanted to react on the fact that you posted before and didn't get an answer: it is still really early here, most posters are in the USA and there is a tiomedifference remember so don't worry, we weren't ignoring you, I am just now waking up

Re: Vomiting and shakes - Please advise me!!!

The first time I want on induction, I had to go home from work. I was weak, pale, shaking, and sweat was pouring off me. I had to pull the car over on the way home and was sick to my stomach.
I actually had to ease my way onto induction. It did get easier. I credit the sickness to a violent de-tox and yeast die-off.
I wouldn't rule out the flu, etc. though.
You might have to back into induction backwards, until you feel better. Have a small piece of whole wheat bread, or some nuts, beans, or cottage cheese, until you can tolerate a clean induction.

sorry you're feeling so horrid. I thought what Miss Phode thought - could it be the flu? Do you have a temp?

Hang in there, if its not the flu but induction flu - it will pass and you will be amazed at how great you feel.

                Keep us posted!

What are you eating in terms of vegetables? Atkins is low carb not no carb. Those carbs from vegetables are extremely important.

Re: Vomiting and shakes - Please advise me!!!

How about going to the doctor. This "induction flu" thing does entail some "jittery" feeling in my body I associated that with the "throbbing" mentioned in other peoples' experience. But I have a physical scheduled next week anyway. I figure if it keeps going on until then ... it's time to ask the doctor. Same doctor who recommended my father try Atkins so I think he'd be supportive of my efforts.

Anyway, I'm not a doctor and I could be unknowingly misleading you and me. So if you're "shaking" and getting sick. I think you should go to a doctor.

Besides, anytime I have something wrong with me and I use the interwebs to diagnose it, it's terminal and it's an excuse for "one last hurrah" with some nice buttery, vermont maple syrup, waffles.

Good luck and hope you feel better. Get to the doctors.

Is there a reason why you are making your main protein fish? maybe try a different protein...I know fish is very good for you..but perhaps it's not sitting right with your stomach right now?

You are not going to long without eating i take it. maybe rather than 3 large meals, start eating more small meals every 3 hours or so. The 'shakes' sound like a blood sugar issue to me..I would also see a dr. just in case you have a medical blood sugar issue.

For awhile, all I would eat was tuna fish. Then somebody brought "Mercury Poisoning" to my attention. I exceeded the recommended weekly intake of tunafish in a day, daily.

I switched to canned salmon. Only "trace" mercury levels in it.
