  • restless leg syndrome

    ive been on atkins about a week now and have rls,is there anything i can do for it.

    I am bothered more when I have not had enough to drink in a day.When its real bad I take a tylenol Pm about 1/2 an hour before bed.

      take some magnesium, potassium, and calcium, that's what the docs told me while I was pregnant. And make sure you are taking a good multi.

        I used to have what I see describe on TV as rls (pushing prescription drugs), I went to the chiropractor and viola, no rls. But if it's related to just starting Atkins I guess that's a different story.

          I also had this the first week, the magnesium and potassium supplements did the trick quickly.

            As a nurse, I have had several patients with RLS. You might try tonic water...there is a sugar free version. It is quite bitter, but, our docs prescribe that our patients drink it for RLS. The quinine seems to be quite effective.
