  • HEEEEEEELLLLLLPPPPP! I feel a cheat coming...

    I had 2 hard boiled eggs for an after work snack (only had an Atkins shake for lunch cause I was in the car) and chicken wings for supper. I was full, am full, but nauseous and not satisfied. on top of that, my weight is coming off really slowly, but I know it is because I have been eating nuts for lack of a better snack food. Someone help me cause I dont wanna get off the wagon....

    Hey! Where's your veggies?

    Along with those chicken wings, you could have a lot more food if you prepared veggies. Same for snacks.

    What rung of Atkins are you on? Just curious since you are eating nuts.

      Did 2 weeks of induction but not clean...that is why today i decided to be extra good...but you are right...I completely forgot my vegies tonight...I have some in the fridge, think I'll go warm up some. Maybe that is why i am feeling bad too...

        The folks here cautioned against the shakes and things sold advertised as "low carb". Even the Atkins stuff that is purportedly safe for induction.

        I initially started with these products in mind as convenient and pleasant tasting "sweet" foods but ditched them after reading the board some.

        Everytime I've done Atkins I've consumed bars and shakes such as these during induction and after induction. I wondered if they were partly to blame for my stall and for my continual craving for foods such as that.

        The only way I'll know is by not using them this time. So I haven't for about a week now. I have to say, my cravings for the "Endulge" candy bars or the Atkins Cookie Caramel Cookie Dough Sabatoge bar have really subsided.

        If you're like me the "cheat" you feel coming is the old "Hey it's the end of the month, I'll start Atkins in the beginning of April" song that I've sung to myself many times. Of course the months change but the song remains the same.

          LOOLLLLLLLLL!!!! I never thought of the "It's the end of the month" excuse! I just find it harder on the days I travel to pack food, especially for the induction period. That is why I bought the shakes as well as the flax granola (1g carb). I just received my book today (Atkins new diet revolution) and am about to go upstairs to read a bit and remotivate myself. Thanks for the laugh!
