  • I'm Sick:(

No, not Atkins-related. With the drastic weather changes these past few weeks I've been having sinus problems, and now I have a full-blown infection.

Did you get sick while on Induction? With the post-nasal drip making my stomach feel queasy, the idea of Induction-friendly food makes me cringe. I dont' want to cheat, but do you have any stomach-settling ideas? All I can think of is some hot tea, and I'll try that here shortly.

    Thanks for any advice.

    Re: I'm Sick

You could try broth, egg drop soup, cheese crisps, and LOTS of water! It's sometimes hard at first to think of new comfort foods, as most of our "old" ones are full of carbohydrates!

      Re: I'm Sick

Thanks Julie. I'll pass on the egg drop soup though...the visual image is not appealing to me, me having a sinus infection an all

I know what you mean though, my first thought (pre-Atkins) would be to have a piece of toast and call it a day. Or an apple. Instead I ate (slowly) some hardboiled eggs. I'm thinking about making some chicken broth; I was going to make chicken soup today anyway.

I'll be excited to move onto OWL and add more veggies.

Thanks again Julie (with an 'e')

Yes, OWL is great! And once you get there, you could add some more "comfortable" comfort foods...like nuts, peanut butter, whole wheat toast, an apple, etc.

No problem, Juli with NO "e".
