My goodness, guys! I am losing my zest for exercise. I went on a business trip last week and was good food-wise, but lazy in the exercise department.
I had a pretty good exercise schedule before the trip. Because of a staff shortage I may be volunteering to work a bit of overtime for the next couple of months.
I have been doing strength training at the gym and at home and I'm definitely seeing the results. The problem is, I'm beginning to look bulky because I'm building muscle (which is great!), but I am not burning the fat fast enough because I was not doing enough regular and consistent cardio in the first place. They offer aerobics classes at my gym, but they are sporadic.
I've been in the abs challenge for a couple of months and can feel a big difference to the touch. The problem is, I've increased 2 inches in the waist. I assume this is because of the muscle underneath (does this sound right?)
At any rate, this is beginning to make me FEEL fat and very discouraged.
My 2 year Atkins Anniversary is coming up on the 31st of this month and I want to welcome it with my head held high.
I know this is a mind thing. I also know that I have let my sleep pattern get crazy again which causes me to have no energy (I'm a certifiable night owl). Family, how do I get past this mental block!!!???!!!
