  • Supplements...

Hello all. I know we are supposed to take supplements but I am the worst person for pill taking. Thing is, I am feeling really lousy. I am tired, dizzy and nauseous from time to time. I am not giving up because I know Atkins works (been there, done that before) but I didn't feel this bad the first time around. I am wondering if it is the supplement thing or what...I didn't supplement the first time either, but I felt good. Any suggestions would be appreciated...Oh yeah, this is my first week of clean induction because I did 2 weeks induction but was eating nuts...so kinda blew it there...HELP!

    Re: Supplements...

    Could be supplements.

I was taking supplements, and still had an 'episode,' if you want to call it that; best I can tell I either wasn't quite getting enough calories or carbs; either way, I bottomed out, so to speak, and took about a day and a half to recover.

I think that the experts are going to ask you to post a menu so that they can analyze.

Hope you feel better! I agree with you: this WOE works!

      Re: Supplements...

If not the supplements, could it be induction flu? If so, it'll pass pretty soon... and the good news is that it's your body weaning itself away from carbs. The fact that you didn't suffer from it the first time around is not very significant... time passes and our bodies change, along with their reactions.

Are you eating enough? Many people try to stay near 0 carbs and then find they feel dreadful. You need your allowed amounts of veggies, proteins and fats. If you post a menu in the "Review my Menu" forum, someone with expertise will be able to see if anything needs tweaking.

      Hope you feel better soon.
