  • Why NO real coffee???

    Is there a reason I cant have caffinated coffee?? I havent been able to find any reasons.

    If you have your book handy (Dr. ATkins New Diet Revolution, 2002 edition), the answer is in Chapter 11, Induction Acceptable Foods list, in the Beverages section.

      One of the purposes of Induction is to break cravings - from sugar, from chocolate, from alcohol, from caffeine. Addictive behaviors are addictive behaviors. You're retraining your body during Induction...

        Good advice on reading the book. Read it.
        But basically. they feel that caffeine will provoke cravings and I think I read somewhere that it messes with your insulin.
