  • atkins bars in canada

i bought a "chocolate peanut butter" atkins advantage bar in canada. it's supposed to have 10 grams fibre and the one i bought in canada has zero grams fibre and 23g carbs! the ingredients are like the same and it's also 240 calories, so what's wrong with the one i bought?

    Re: atkins bars in canada

It might be the different way many countries list carbohydrates from the way the USA does.
In UK fibre does not count as a carb, so our carb info is for net carbs and the fibre grams are listed in a different section of the label than carbohydrates.

Usually it works out roughly the same once you have allowed for the USA deduction of fiber though. Maybe a misprint on your packet? This does sometimes happen in the best of worlds!! Maybe there is some address listed on your packet where you can phone or email to ask them?

BTW it is not really an induction food (in case you are on induction) despite the Atkins company's claims on the label as it has ingredients not on the induction list of allowed foods.
    Contains: Soy, milk and peanuts
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!
