It's true, guys show us they love is in ways we don't always comprehend (washing our car, taking the trash out, listening as we drone on and on about our hair), but I'm sorry-- my DH is sort of a non- romantic bloke as well, but I could NEVER envision him saying what the OP's boyfriend said...
