I just received, in the mail, an ad for a new diet book that Readers Digest is producing. It's called "Magic Foods for Better Blood Sugar". In this ad they mention how low-carb diets are bad for you. They will:
1. Make you feel terrible
2. Overall health will suffer
3.You miss out on your favorite foods
etc., etc...
These 57 magic foods are not mentioned too much because they want you to buy the book, but one food they say will help your blood sugar is BEER
. They say it is NOT as high in carbs as we were led to believe and that it actually LOWERS your blood sugar.
And here, all these years I thought my round belly was from all the beer I consumed. I quess now I know it was the vegetables that caused it.
