    Re: is this normal?

Totally normal. 10 lbs is huge for one week so your body is just trying to adjust itself. Try not to weigh yourself again until the end of Induction. I am assuming you are doing a clean induction, and if so you will find that the weight will come off, but sometimes it hops around a bit. Scales can be scary and will mess with your mind if you let them.

      Re: is this normal?

Weight loss is not a linear process. I lost 8 pounds in my first week of induction and then none the second. Fear not, stick to it!! and............CONGRATULATIONS! Ten pounds is WONDERFUL! Picture 10 pounds of butter! Make sure your drinking your water.

It is completely normal. Just follow the plan as prescribed, and the overall progression over weeks will be lower and then lower still. Don't try to overthink the process. Trust it, and you should be fine.

              Re: is this normal?

Oh I totally understand. My weight loss used to be like a washboard (up-down-up-down), and even though I knew not to be frustrated, it is easier said than done. If it continues another week or so, post what you are doing, and perhaps someone else can see something you are missing.

One thing you'll read over and over on this board is to not get obsessed with your scale. Recording your measurements every couple of weeks will give you a more positive outcome, as you'll really lose inches fast. Isn't it more important anyways how your clothes fit, rather than how much you weigh?

It happened to me like that too .. lose some .... then nothing for a while..then lose some more..then nothing ... etc etc etc -- you get to realise that your body is gonna do its own thing so in the meantime just relax and follow the program. Enjoy the process ( and the yummy food) good things come to those who wait ( and while you are waiting pray like crazy to the Whooshie fairy - hahaha) You will be fine !

                      Re: is this normal?

There is only too much meat if you are still eating when you aren't hungry. The good news is that the appetite suppression of the diet will help you recognize not being hungry better than ever before. 2 Chicken breasts is not out of line if you are still hungry after one.

                        Re: is this normal?

Kent is right - if it takes 2 chicken breasts to make you no longer feel hungry then you can eat them. Make sure you eat plenty of fat with the chicken if they are skinless breasts to avoid overeating your protein.

Some of us take longer to learn what 'hungry' and 'not hungry' feel like, so you might experiment by setting out and eating maybe half of your 'normal' meal and then waiting say 20 minutes to see if you are still hungry. If you are, then get out half of what is left and eating that and wait again to see if you are still hungry. You can always eat later if you get hungry soon after finishing.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!
